I was born in Montreal and found my way into the loving arms of Jesus much later in life although I was raised in a Christian home.  An introvert by nature, I love to curl up with a good book and chill with Frankie (my adorable tuxedo) by the fireplace or snuggle up with the man who makes me belly laugh.  I am a person, a woman, a friend, a confidante, a mentor, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an aunt and Mom in a blended family with 4 grandbabies. I love words and using them to encourage others in the journey called life. I love to sing off key at the top of my lungs. I love clean spaces, clean lines and minimalist design. I love good food with lots of flavour, I love to experiment with spices and cuisine from diverse nations. I treasure flawed, imperfect, authentic people. I am fiercely protective of those I care for and for those that people would take advantage of. I love to travel and learn new things as much as I like to stand in the pouring rain and experience the wrath of a good thunderstorm. I am enamoured of all things tech and understanding what makes things work the way they do. I am a basketball fanatic who loves to welcome people to my home and given the opportunity I love to feed your belly and your soul.

Born in Zambia, I gave my life to Christ at age 16 while growing up in Nigeria. My mom says I fell in love with words at the tender age of two when I would take my Ladybird books to bed and read them whenever I woke up in the middle of the night. My love for words grew into a passion for writing and debating in high school where I expressed my creative voice by writing poetry, creative essays and songs. It is no wonder then that after changing careers paths twice (studied real estate development management and worked in investment banking), I eventually found my true place in the communications field and now work as a managing editor. As I grow in my Christian faith, I am more inspired to write to encourage and build up the body of Christ, especially women. I especially love putting on my editor’s hat to help make other people’s writing shine. I am single and hopeful. My favourite things to do include showering tons of love on my six nieces and nephews, world-travel, short-term mission trips, music, poetry, expanding my knowledge of plant-based nutrition and hosting home gatherings.

I was born and raised in Toronto, and became a Christian while in university. I’ve been married for five years; we have no children, so we dote on our cat instead. Being a bookworm all my life, it’s no surprise that I studied library science and now work as a librarian. My love for books made me decide at a young age that I wanted to write as well, although to this point I’ve mainly written academic papers and content for my personal blog. I love writing about books that I’m reading, thoughts on finding God through difficult times in our faith journey, ministering to those going through rough times and advocating for those who may feel left out in the Church. My favourite thing is to sit down on a weekend morning with a hot cup of coffee and something sweet to eat. I love travel, languages, literature, and watching sports – especially soccer.

I’ve been a child of God since 1996 – I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! My heart is filled with awe and gratitude for how God has orchestrated my life since he opened the door for me to come to Canada. I migrated to Toronto with my family in the mid-1990s and that’s where I met God personally and eventually met my husband, with whom I’m now raising a young family. We are blessed with two beautiful kids – a 14 year old sweet boy and a nine year old girl with the mind of a young adult. Like any woman, I fill different shoes every day and I am hoping to share my walk with God through this blog. For the most part, God speaks to me through His word, and I admit without shame that He speaks to me through the mouth of my babes who speak the truth unapologetically. I see life as a great metaphor, viewing life through the lens of who we are in HIM and who He is in us. Although I am anxious to be part of this blog because I often feel unworthy to share my experiences knowing I have failed HIM so many times, I know from that still small Voice inside me that this is what I need to do in this season of my life.

I was born and raised in a Christian family in India and accepted Christ in my mid-teens. Growing up, I was fascinated by nature and often wondered about the Creator. An avid reader from young, I enjoyed curling up with a book, especially from the comfort of an armchair in our backyard. After my education, I went on to work in Accounting and moved to the Middle East, then to the UK after marriage, and eventually to Canada. Having known the deep love of Jesus, especially while going through personal ups and downs, I have become passionate about walking with people and helping them know the love and purposes of God for their lives. Through my writing, I hope to reflect personal encounters with a loving God in everyday life. My husband and I have been blessed with two daughters and a son. My best (and hair-pulling) moments are when I am with my family. We enjoy reading, music and volunteering in the community.
